SSNUP is a partner of the Council on Smallholder Agricultural Finance
SSNUP is a field building partner of the Council on Smallholder Agricultural Finance (CSAF), a network of impact investors in agriculture. SSNUP supports CSAF in building a responsible financial market for agricultural SMEs.
As neither SSNUP nor ADA can be full CSAF members as they are not investors, a field building partnership enables the SSNUP programme to support the network financially and to remain updated on the latest trends in the agricultural investment sector.
In addition, the SSNUP partners can contribute to the discussions on how to create a responsible financial sector which has a positive impact on agricultural SMEs, small producers and the environment. For example, SSNUP results and lessons learned are shared with CSAF members and other field building partners.
CSAF State of the Sector report
CSAF have just released their 2022 State of the Sector report which analyses lending trends across 17 financial institutions in 2021 and consolidates lessons learned in financing agricultural SMEs and producer organisations in developing countries over the past 10 years.
