Call for projects concluded with five new impact investors

In March 2024, the SSNUP programme coordinator launched a call for technical assistance projects in sub-Saharan Africa. Impact investors could submit up to two projects for SSNUP co-funding of up to EUR 50,000 per project.

As a result, the SSNUP programme will now collaborate with Clarmondial (Switzerland), Goodwell Investments (Netherlands), HEKS-EPER (Switzerland), Sinergi (Burkina Faso) and Zira Capital (Mali) and co-fund the selected projects.

Heks Eper Bread for all

HEKS/EPER is a Swiss-based INGO working towards combating poverty and injustice, and advocating for a life in dignity for all people in 30 countries across 4 continents. In 2021, HEKS/EPER launched the “Rural Livelihoods Investment Facility”, an impact investment facility which provides debt financing to small and medium enterprises in the sustainable agriculture and related sectors in sub-Saharan Africa.

This was the first time a call for projects was launched for the SSNUP programme. The tender process not only enables the programme to increase its outreach but also enables the programme coordinator to engage in short-term collaborations with a view to attract certain projects and potentially identify new partner investors for the second phase, which will be launched in January 2025.
