MicroMED: Accelerating financial inclusion in Tunisia

MicroMED is a technical assistance project for institutional capacity building in the microfinance sector in Tunisia that took place between 2012 and 2018. It has notably led to the creation of an Observatory of Financial Inclusion (OIF); capacity building of MFIs through the creation of the first microfinance training centre; and the improvement of market infrastructure.

Signs of economic recovery remain mixed

ADA, Inpulse and the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation joined forces in 2020 to monitor and analyse the effects of the COVID-19 crisis on their partner microfinance institutions around the world. This monitoring was carried out periodically throughout 2020 to gain a better insight into how the crisis has developed internationally. This work has been extended into 2021, on a quarterly basis. The conclusions presented in this article and written by the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation follow the second quarter of 2021.
