Luxembourg’s Development Cooperation renews its support of the inclusive finance sector through ADA

On 15 December 2021, Franz Fayot, Minister of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, signed an agreement by which the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA) grants a new mandate to Appui au Développement Autonome (ADA), an NGO promoting the inclusive development of vulnerable populations.

200 scholarships available for development studies in Belgium

As a partner of the Belgian Development Cooperation, ARES (Academy for Research and Higher Education in Belgium) offers 200 scholarships for Bachelor and Masters degree studies as well as for further training in development issues. Apply now for the academic year 2022-2023.

Improving the quality of life of low-income populations: focus on Honduras and Salvador

Three microfinance institutions in Honduras and El Salvador were supported under the ADA-REDCAMIF programme (2018-2021), either to develop inclusive financial products and services or to use digital technologies to improve their operations. This month, focus on Fundación Hermandad de Honduras, PILARH and FUSAI.

ADA shares innovative approach among impact investors at the EVPA CoLab Award

ADA applied to the “EVPA CoLab Award” that acknowledges system change leaders to better promote its Innovation Labs.

Signs of economic recovery remain mixed

ADA, Inpulse and the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation joined forces in 2020 to monitor and analyse the effects of the COVID-19 crisis on their partner microfinance institutions around the world. This monitoring was carried out periodically throughout 2020 to gain a better insight into how the crisis has developed internationally. This work has been extended into 2021, on a quarterly basis. The conclusions presented in this article and written by the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation follow the second quarter of 2021.

The International Conference on Inclusive Insurance (ICII) 2021 will take place from 25-29 October 2021. Over 1000 experts from 100+ countries will discuss and identify ways of accelerating growth and economic viability in inclusive insurance for emerging markets.
