ADA and Innpact launch Sunflower Seeds
ADA and the impact fund manager Innpact S.A. are joining forces to launch Sunflower Seeds asbl, a non-profit organisation which promotes female entrepreneurship and personal development through financial support and mentorship.
With a focus on social and environmental impact projects based in Luxembourg or those with a strong connection to the Grand Duchy, Sunflower Seeds is opening doors for entrepreneurial and personal development initiatives led by women.
Commemorating Corinne Molitor
Sunflower Seeds was founded in commemoration of the late Luxembourgish financial inclusion and impact finance expert Corinne Molitor. After working as Head of Business Development at Banque de Luxembourg, she became a partner of Innpact S.A. before taking on the role of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of ADA.
She was driven by a strong belief in inclusive finance as a tool to beat poverty and boost people’s ability to shape their own lives. Sunflower Seeds aims to continue Corinne’s work by inspiring other women in Luxembourg to also take the lead in making a difference like she did.
Solid governance ensures efficient and targeted use of donations
The non-profit organisation is funded by private donations made in memory of Corinne, along with yearly member donations, including those of ADA and Innpact. Sunflower Seeds has a solid governance with a General Assembly of Members and a Board of Directors that includes representatives from the founding members and Corinne’s family.
Sunflower Seeds asbl was officially launched at the European Microfinance Week in Abbaye de Neumünster on 15 November as a first step towards building a community that encourages women to unlock their potential and make a real impact.
