Certificate in Inclusive Finance Law and Regulation kicks off
Opening speech in the presence of Fulceri Bruni Roccia (EIB), Professor Dirk Zetsche (ADA Chair) and Laura Foschi (ADA). The latter recalled the importance of the course in strengthening regulatory knowledge to support the development of the inclusive finance sector.
The Certificate in Law and Regulation of Inclusive Finance, jointly organised by the Chair in Financial Law at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg together with ADA and the European Investment Bank Institute, began on 17 January.
For two weeks, 21 inclusive finance professionals from 14 countries representing regulators, central banks, ministries of finance, MFIs, or NGOs as well as consultants, digital service providers, researchers, students or investors will deepen their skills in inclusive finance law and regulation, with a focus on developing countries.
The course will focus on performance measurement and management, sustainable inclusive finance, fintech/regtech & financial inclusion, microfinance and risk management. Lessons are taught by European and international academics as well as by practitioners from international organisations and leading law and accountancy firms.
In total, more than 140 professionals from 40 countries have obtained the certificate over the past six years.
