SAM organisation kicks off in Nairobi

On 21 March, a media event in Nairobi officially launched the collaboration between ADA, MAIN (Microfinance African Institutions Network) and AMFI-K (Association of Microfinance Institutions - Kenya) and set the stage for an impactful SAM week.
In addition to gathering the national press, this was also an occasion to mobilise the local inclusive finance ecosystem from financial institutions to innovators and policymakers. This widespread interest in the launch event reflects Kenya's leadership in inclusive finance and its commitment to driving financial innovation.
Financial services for vulnerable populations
LSAM 2025 will serve as a platform for discussing how to provide vulnerable populations with sustainable and inclusive financial services in a constantly changing regulatory environment and evolving funding dynamics. The key challenge is to keep the customer’s needs at the heart of all activities in the face of these changes and to detect and maximise opportunities for greater inclusion thanks to innovation.
Laura Foschi, Executive Director of ADA, explained that “SAM 2025 is co-organised by the Luxembourgish NGO ADA (Appui au développement autonome), with the support of the Luxembourgish Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade. We look forward to bringing Africa’s biggest inclusive finance event to Nairobi and look forward to a fruitful collaboration with our Kenyan counterparts for the benefit of vulnerable populations.”
With the road to SAM 2025 now officially open, ADA, MAIN and AMFI-K look forward to a year of collaboration, innovation and action to make this edition the most impactful yet. Stay tuned and join us in shaping the future of inclusive finance in Africa!
