SAM is the biggest financial inclusion event in Africa. Held every two years in a different African country, it brings together key representatives of the sector. Formerly known as African Microfinance Week, SAM is expanding its scope and will be known as the African Inclusive Finance Week from 2025 onwards. This reflects the aim of creating a single platform for discussing the challenges of inclusive finance from all angles.
Impact investors, microfinance institutions (MFIs), financial service providers, innovators, government representatives and researchers will come together to discuss, collaborate and map out a path towards financial inclusion on the continent. With the strengthening of synergies and the promotion of best practices as its main goals, SAM provides a unique opportunity for reflection and action to accelerate the development of inclusive finance in Africa.
