The African Inclusive Finance Week, SAM 2025 will be held in Nairobi, Kenya, on October 13th -17th 2025 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, KICC.

The five-day event will feature conferences, training and workshop opportunities, an Investor Fair, an Innovators’ Village and field visits.
SAM is the biggest financial inclusion event. Held in a different African country every two years, it brings together key representatives of financial institutions, digital providers, Savings & Credit Cooperative Societies (SACCOs), governments, policy makers, regulators, researchers, civil society and a host of key stakeholders to foster in-depth, sector-specific dialogue on effective and sustainable inclusion.
SAM provides a platform to showcase and reflect on past gains and experiences, interrogate the effectiveness of current systems, recommend new models and interventions and to strengthen and create lasting partnerships to accelerate the development of inclusive finance in Africa.
In addition to the two-day conference with globally renowned speakers, the African Inclusive Finance Week offers dedicated networking events and over 20 training sessions and workshops. While an Innovators' Village showcases the latest innovations in inclusive finance, an Investor Fair brings investors, microfinance and other financial institutions, fintechs, promising MSMEs and startups together to discuss investment opportunities.
Kenya as a role model for boosting inclusive finance in Africa at SAM
Kenya was chosen to host the event following a successful bid which demonstrated ability and suitability to host SAM 2025. Strategically located and with established infrastructure, Kenya has a proven track record and is committed to inclusive finance. It is one of Africa ’s fastest growing and market-based economies and is regarded as the economic, commercial, financial, ICT and logistics hub of East Africa, boasting a sustained, dynamic, and diverse economy. Conference delegates will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from the robust innovation ecosystem, that is growing with a promising future as evidenced by an increasing number of hubs and talented entrepreneurs.
Hosting SAM will offer Kenyan stakeholders a unique opportunity to get updated on the latest trends and to join top-level discussions on the future of financial inclusion in Africa. At the same time, participants will gain firsthand experience of the impactful and innovative Kenyan inclusive finance sector which can serve as a role model for other African countries. The exchange of knowledge and best practices at SAM will increase the expertise of participants which will in turn benefit the development of national financial inclusion strategies and policies across the continent to strengthen their impact.
